Many of the church leaders come from backgrounds as leaders of their respective professions in their respective fields. And as for the "best vehicles", there are far more expensive cars than Lincoln Town Cars. English ought to be embarrassed to make this argument, i.e. "Johnson was acting as family friend." I realize he is advocating for his client, but this is ridiculous. But for his "calling" as a home teacher, Johnson would not have had this access to the child, in his home. I am a member of the LDS church, but I manage to maintain some objectivity. If the church were concerned that Time grossly exaggerated its worth, it could rebut this by releasing relevant financial info; I don't see how this would be considered "trade secret" info. Is this a church or a business corporation masquerading as a religious society? Stephen F.
